CAHPERD STANDING COMMITTEES
INVESTMENT COMMITTEE
WHO?
The members of the Investment Committee include the Chair, appointed
by the President with approval of the Board of Directors, for a
four-year term (three (3) as chair and one as chair-elect); Chair-elect,
appointed by the President with approval of the Board of Directors
in the last year of four-year term of the Chair; three members
of CAHPERD, appointed by the President and approved by the
Board of Directors for three-year, staggered terms; Investment
Advisor (ex-officio, non-voting), appointed annually by the President,
with the approval of the Board of Directors; Treasurer (ex-officio,
non-voting); and Executive Director (ex-officio, non-voting). Current
members are Karen M. Johnson (Chair), Bob Flavin (Member), Perky
Vetter (Treasurer), Jon Hubbert (Investment Advisor) and Quentin
Christian (CAHPERD Executive Director).
WHAT?

To monitor both the short-term and long-term investment
portfolios of CAHPERD.

To review annually the investment guidelines
and recommend changes to the Executive Board.

To monitor investment
decisions to ensure that they fulfill the investment objectives
of the financial policy.

To evaluate annually the performance of the Investment
Advisor.

recommend annually the appointment of the Investment Advisor
to the President
WHEN?
The Investment Committee generally meets twice a year, once at
the CAHPERD Conference and once in the summer at the office of
the Investment Advisor.
