Description & Mission
The purpose of the Recreation Division is to:
- Promote the quality of life through Recreation and
Leisure Education.
- Promote the highest standards of the recreation profession
that are consistent with the aims and purposes of the
Association.
- Select and disseminate accurate information concerning
all phases of recreation.
- Assist the various CAHPERD districts, regions and
units to improve their planning procedures, operational
techniques and interests, with a view to improving their
quality of service and general effectiveness.
- Promote good public relations in the field of recreation,
in cooperation with other committees of the Association.
- Coordinate the recreation activities in CAHPERD with
other recreation agencies and organizations which have
common interests and purposes.
