Promising Professional Scholarship

The Phyllis Blatz Promising Professional Scholarship is offered to females entering teaching or in their first year of teaching and coaching girls or women’s sports.  While opportunities for girls and women to compete have increased because of Title IX, there is still a short-fall in the number of women who are their coaches.  This scholarship is intended to provide professional development in support of women going into coaching.
