Latham
President
Dan Latham is President of CAHPERD and
has just completed two terms as the Boys and Men’s
Athletics, Vice President, as well as, serve on association
committee’s such as Membership, Governance and Structure,
Publications, and Nomination Committee. He was also appointed
by our State Senate Rules Committee to serve on the California
Task Force for Youth and Workplace Wellness from 2002 – 2005.
Dan Latham has also developed several interactive youth
wellness programs across the state through his consulting
corporation, Cyberobics, Inc. He participated in two books, “Fatlands,” a
2005 Best Seller and “Toxic Waste?.... Get to Know
Your Sweat," a 2006 book on the obesity epidemic.
Dan was a recipient of the California School Boards Association, Golden
Bell Award, Outstanding Alumnus Award from
California State University, Long Beach (2006); also listed
on the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers
(2002, 2004), and chosen the 2006 BMA Honors Award
Recipient.
In his spare time, Dan enjoys Backpacking in the High Sierra’s,
recreating on the Colorado River, camping, fishing, playing
tennis, exercising and trykking.
