On July 28, 2009, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed AB X4 2 (Chapter 2, Statutes of 2009-10 Fourth Extraordinary Session). Section 28 of this bill stopped all work on instructional materials adoptions and curriculum framework revisions effective July 28, 2009, and continuing until the 2013-14 school year. For this reason, further work on the revision of the Health Framework has been stopped. The State Board of Education will not consider or take action on appointment of members to the Health Curriculum Framework and Evaluation Criteria Committee (CFCC) as previously scheduled for September 2009. In addition, all of the previously scheduled meetings of the Health CFCC have been cancelled.
